things to do in vancouver in month of December?

I am planning to go to vancouver for 15 days in december for Christmas. I am interested from locals there any activities in and around vancouver for me and my wife. Whistler is definitely on the list.

Places to ski around Vancouver are: Gross Mountain, Cypress Mountain, Mount Seymour

There’s skiing in Whistler/Blackcomb which is about 2hours north of Vancouver.

Up at Grouse Mountain, you can enjoy snowshoeing, ice skating, take a sleigh ride. I haven’t gone, always been meaning to go. I’ve had other friends and they LOVED it!

Bright lights in Stanley park. It’s great, it’s all lit up and if you have kids there’s a train ride you can take at night. To enter the park, it’s by donation for the Firefighters to raise money for burn victims.

Van Dusen Botanical Garden Festival of Lights. It’s a beautiful garden in the middle of the city and at Christmas time they have it all light up. It’s quite spectacular.

Carol Ships Parade of lights. They have all of these boats decorated with Christmas lights. Very beautiful and romantic.

There’s lots to do. Enjoy your visit.
When you get to town, you should get the free local paper called The Georgia Strait. It always has events happening for the week and what not, or get it online.
